My Assessment of Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice

Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice is a dice-themed adaptation of Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza 1000. It retains the same 6x5 pays-anywhere grid, tumbling wins, free spins and multipliers reaching 1,000x, but replaces the familiar fruit and candy symbols with colourful dice.

In my view, this is primarily a visual alternative rather than a mechanical sequel. The dice presentation gives the game a different identity, but the underlying rules and 25,000x maximum win remain almost identical to Sweet Bonanza 1000.

Dice Theme and Presentation

Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice keeps the bright fantasy landscape associated with the series but redesigns the paying symbols as glossy dice. Some use conventional numbered faces, while the more valuable symbols are represented by blue, green, purple and red dice.

The red die is the most valuable regular symbol. The Scatter and multiplier icons have also been redesigned to match the dice theme, with a smiling jester replacing the familiar Candy Bomb as the multiplier symbol.

The interface, animations and soundtrack remain close to Sweet Bonanza 1000. As a result, returning players should be able to understand the game immediately. The visual changes are clear, but they do not create a fundamentally new playing experience.

How the Pays-Anywhere System Works

There are no conventional paylines. A win is formed when at least eight matching regular symbols appear anywhere on the 6x5 grid.

The symbols do not need to touch or occupy neighbouring positions. The game simply counts how many identical symbols are visible:

  • Eight or nine matching symbols award the first paytable value.
  • Ten or eleven matching symbols award the second value.
  • Twelve or more matching symbols produce the highest payout for that symbol.

Several different symbol types can pay on the same grid. Their prizes are added together before the tumbling sequence continues.

This mechanism is sometimes called cluster pay, but the description is inaccurate. Clusters require symbols to connect, whereas Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice counts identical symbols in any positions.

Tumble Feature

After a winning combination is evaluated, all paying symbols involved disappear. The symbols above fall into the empty positions, and new dice enter from the top of the grid.

The resulting arrangement is checked for another win. If a qualifying combination appears, another tumble begins without requiring a new stake.

The sequence continues until the refreshed grid produces no further win. There is no stated limit on the number of consecutive tumbles, although many paid spins end after the first drop.

Regular Dice Symbols

The original fruit and candy icons have been replaced with dice carrying different colours and face designs. Numbered dice occupy the lower portion of the paytable, while the coloured dice provide the stronger regular payouts.

The red die is the top-paying standard symbol:

  • Eight or nine red dice: 10x the stake.
  • Ten or eleven red dice: 25x the stake.
  • Twelve or more red dice: 50x the stake.

Purple, green and blue dice occupy the next positions in the paytable. The numbered dice offer smaller prizes but appear as part of the same pays-anywhere system.

The game does not use a traditional Wild. Wins depend on the number of matching regular symbols, while the jester multiplier is active only during free spins.

Scatter and Free Spins

Landing at least four Scatter symbols anywhere on the grid triggers ten free spins. The Scatters also carry their own payout, which is awarded before the feature begins.

During the bonus, three or more Scatters award five additional free spins. Retriggers can extend the feature, but they do not guarantee multiplier symbols or a profitable result.

The free-spins grid uses the same pays-anywhere and Tumble rules as the base game. The major difference is the addition of jester multiplier symbols.

Jester Multipliers

The smiling jester is the multiplier symbol in Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice. It replaces the Candy Bomb used in the standard edition but performs the same mathematical function.

A jester can reveal one of the following values:

2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x or 1,000x.

Multiplier symbols remain visible until the current tumbling sequence ends. If several jesters appear, their values are added together.

For example, multipliers of 20x, 50x and 100x produce a combined 170x multiplier. The result is applied to the total regular-symbol win accumulated across that tumble sequence.

The multiplier values are not multiplied by one another. A 20x and 50x combination produces 70x rather than 1,000x.

A jester also requires a regular symbol win. If no qualifying group of at least eight identical dice appears during the tumble sequence, the displayed multiplier does not award a prize by itself.

Regular Bonus Buy

Where feature purchases are permitted, the regular Bonus Buy costs 100x the selected stake. The purchase guarantees at least four Scatters on the triggering spin and activates ten free spins.

The Scatter payout is included before the feature begins. However, buying the bonus does not guarantee a jester multiplier, a retrigger or a return equal to the purchase price.

Super Free Spins

Super Free Spins can be purchased for 500x the selected stake in supported markets. This version uses the same ten-spin structure but improves the available jester multipliers.

Every multiplier symbol appearing in Super Free Spins has a minimum value of 20x. Values up to 1,000x remain possible.

The higher minimum applies only when a jester actually lands. Individual spins can still produce no multiplier or no qualifying dice win. The 500x purchase price therefore does not guarantee a positive return.

Ante Bet

Ante Bet increases the normal stake by 25% and doubles the mathematical chance of triggering free spins naturally.

The option does not increase regular paytable values or guarantee that four Scatters will land. The improved trigger probability is funded by the higher cost of every paid spin.

Direct Bonus Buy options may be disabled while Ante Bet is active. Players must return to the standard stake mode before purchasing a feature.

RTP, Volatility and Maximum Win

The version presented on this page has an RTP of 95.52%. A higher 96.53% configuration has also been published, while some operators may use a lower setting.

RTP is a theoretical return calculated across a very large number of rounds. It cannot predict the result of one spin, bonus purchase or playing session.

Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice has high volatility. Its strongest results depend on combining large groups of premium dice with one or more high-value jesters during free spins.

The maximum win is limited to 25,000x the stake. If a round reaches that amount, the feature ends immediately, the capped prize is awarded and any remaining free spins are forfeited.

Dice Edition vs Standard Edition

Feature Sweet Bonanza 1000 Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice
Grid 6x5 6x5
Pay system 8+ symbols anywhere 8+ symbols anywhere
Regular symbols Fruit and candy Numbered and coloured dice
Multiplier symbol Candy Bomb Jester
Maximum multiplier 1,000x 1,000x
Maximum win 25,000x 25,000x
Super Free Spins Yes Yes

The two games are mechanically almost identical. The Dice edition changes the symbols and presentation but does not add a new bonus feature, multiplier range or payout ceiling.

I would choose between them based on the active RTP and preferred visual style. If both versions use the same RTP, Sweet Bonanza 1000 offers the familiar candy presentation, while the Dice edition provides a cleaner geometric symbol set.

Players who prefer a lower multiplier ceiling and a simpler feature menu can also consider the original Sweet Bonanza.

Mobile Experience

The HTML5 version works on desktop, mobile and tablet devices. The 6x5 grid fits portrait screens well, and the numbered dice remain easy to distinguish during rapid tumbles.

The interface provides access to stake controls, game history, sound settings and the paytable. Autoplay, Turbo Spin, Ante Bet and Bonus Buy may be restricted depending on local regulations.

Advantages and Drawbacks

What I Like

  • The dice symbols are clear and easy to distinguish.
  • Eight matching symbols can pay from any positions.
  • Tumbles can generate several wins from one paid spin.
  • Jester multipliers can reach 1,000x.
  • Multiple multiplier values are added together.
  • Super Free Spins use a minimum multiplier of 20x when a jester appears.
  • The maximum win reaches 25,000x.

What Could Be Better

  • The mechanics are almost identical to Sweet Bonanza 1000.
  • The Dice edition offers few changes beyond the artwork.
  • Jester multipliers pay nothing without a regular symbol win.
  • Super Free Spins cost 500x the stake where available.
  • The game has high volatility.
  • Casinos may offer versions with different RTP settings.

My Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice Rating

4.6 out of 5

Final Verdict

Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice is a polished visual variation of an existing game rather than a substantial sequel. Its pays-anywhere wins, tumbling symbols, 1,000x multipliers and Super Free Spins all work like their equivalents in Sweet Bonanza 1000.

The dice artwork is clear and gives the game a distinct appearance, but it does not change the underlying risk or create additional strategic choices. The active RTP is therefore a more meaningful point of comparison than the theme.

My rating for Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice is 4.6 out of 5. It retains the strong multiplier potential of the standard edition, although players expecting new mechanics may find the changes too limited.

The game should be treated as paid entertainment with a real possibility of losing the full amount staked. More releases from the developer are available on the Pragmatic Play page and in the Bonanza slots catalogue.
