My Assessment of Stampede Bonanza
Stampede Bonanza is a high-volatility animal slot from Booming Games, released on 10 June 2024. It uses a 6x5 Pay Anywhere grid, but its real identity comes from two symbol-collection meters: Random Wilds in the base game and Random Multipliers in Free Spins. I rate it 4.3. This is one of Booming's more thoughtful Bonanza designs, although its 95.3% RTP sits below the roughly 96% level many players use as a reference point.

Operator builds can use different stake limits and potentially different RTP profiles. Check the in-game information screen before playing. The 95.3% figure is a long-run theoretical return and cannot tell a player what will happen during a short session.
Scatter pays and cascades
Eight or more matching symbols pay anywhere on the 30-position grid. Winning icons are removed, existing symbols fall and fresh ones enter from above. Cascades continue until a refreshed grid produces no new winning group. Buffalo and other North American wildlife form the premium symbols, while card ranks occupy the lower-value tier.
The Wild substitutes for ordinary paying symbols but not the Scatter. Unlike a conventional random Wild, its appearance in the base game is connected to the number of winning symbols collected during the current paid spin.
Random Wild milestones
The base-game meter resets at the beginning of every new spin. Winning symbols are counted across its cascade sequence, and reaching a milestone causes one to three Random Wilds to drop after the ordinary wins are exhausted. Those Wilds may start another cascade.
| Winning symbols collected | Milestone | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| 18 | 1 | 1–3 Random Wilds |
| 40 | 2 | 1–3 additional Random Wilds |
| 60 | 3 | 1–3 additional Random Wilds |
| 90 | 4 | 1–3 additional Random Wilds |
I like this mechanic because it gives a long base-game cascade a visible consequence. It is still not a strategy element: players cannot influence which symbols land or where the Wilds are placed.
Free Spins multiplier meter
Four or more Scatters award 10 Free Spins. Four, five or six Scatters also pay 2x, 5x or 20x the stake. The feature cannot be retriggered, a notable difference from Jam Bonanza and the Holly Jolly games.
During each Free Spin, a meter displays 10 locked Random Multipliers and resets for the next spin. Every 22 winning symbols collected unlocks one multiplier from left to right, with 220 symbols required to open all 10. Possible values are 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x and 100x. At the end of the cascade sequence, unlocked values are added together and applied to its total eligible win.
| Bonus progress | Result | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| 22 winning symbols | Unlocks the first random multiplier. | The meter resets on the next Free Spin. |
| Each further 22 symbols | Unlocks the next multiplier from left to right. | Values are random, from 2x to 100x. |
| 220 winning symbols | Unlocks all 10 multiplier positions. | This is an extreme single-spin requirement. |
Bonus Buy and risk
The feature can generally be purchased for 90x the selected stake where local rules permit it. That is cheaper than the 100x entry used by many related games, but the round is fixed at 10 spins and cannot retrigger. I would not read the lower purchase price as guaranteed value. Demo mode is the sensible place to understand how rarely the upper meter levels appear.

Presentation and mobile play
The desert landscape, red cliffs and running buffalo create more motion than the studio's simpler fruit releases. The two meters are compact and remain readable on a phone. Audio rises effectively with longer cascades, although the animal theme itself is familiar casino territory.
Pros and cons
- Pros: meaningful base-game Wild meter, detailed Free Spins multiplier system, clear cascades and a 7,500x cap.
- Cons: 95.3% RTP, high volatility, no Free Spins retrigger and meters that reset after every paid or free spin.
Final assessment
Stampede Bonanza receives 4.3 from me. Its collection meters give both modes a clearer sense of progression than most Pay Anywhere games, and the rules reward long cascades without pretending players control them. The below-benchmark RTP and non-retriggering bonus are substantial drawbacks. It suits adults who value feature depth more than frequent bonus extensions.
