About Lucksome
Lucksome is an independent game studio distributed through Games Global. It was established by experienced casino game developers, including former NetEnt product specialists, with the intention of creating recognisable mechanics that could be carried across several releases rather than producing anonymous one-off slots.
The studio's catalogue includes Divine Links, Treasures of the Dead, Way of the Tiger, Saint Nicked and the Bon Bomb games. Its releases often use persistent meters, collection features and named mechanics such as Hyperlines and Hyperboom.
Lucksome is not owned by Blueprint Gaming, despite that claim appearing in some older provider descriptions. Its games have been distributed through the former Microgaming network and subsequently Games Global.
The Bon Bomb Line
Bon Bomb Bonanza Hyperboom follows Bon Bomb Luxpots, retaining the candy-bomb identity while replacing the previous jackpot focus with an escalating multiplier system. This makes it a genuine development of an existing Lucksome property rather than a random Bonanza title.
| Bon Bomb Bonanza specification | Published information |
|---|---|
| Layout | 6 reels and 5 rows |
| Payout system | 8+ matching symbols anywhere |
| RTP | Approximately 96.20% |
| Volatility | Medium to medium-high, depending on classification |
| Maximum win | 20,000× the bet |
| Main mechanic | Hyperboom symbol collection and increasing multipliers |
Winning symbols explode and are replaced by new ones. The cascade continues for as long as another group of eight or more matching symbols appears. This provides the raw material for Hyperboom because cleared winning symbols are counted by its meter.
How Hyperboom Works
The Hyperboom meter collects symbols removed during winning cascades. Once enough have been collected, the current multiplier increases. A candy-bomb symbol then applies the accumulated multiplier to the total win from that spin sequence.
The base-game multiplier starts at 2×. After it has been applied to a win, it returns to its starting level. Progress may also be lost when a spin ends without a win, making consecutive successful cascades especially important.
| Hyperboom event | Result |
|---|---|
| Winning symbols are removed | They fill the Hyperboom meter |
| The meter reaches its target | The active multiplier increases |
| A candy bomb lands with a win | The multiplier is applied to the sequence total |
| Several bombs land | Their multiplier values can be combined |
| The multiplier is awarded | It resets in the base game |
I find this more interesting than a purely random multiplier symbol. The game shows how winning cascades contribute to the next upgrade. It gives the sequence visible structure without suggesting that the player can influence the outcome.
The meter is still not a savings account. Unless the rules specify persistence at the current stake level, a change of game state or an unsuccessful spin can reset progress. It is unwise to continue wagering solely because the display looks close to its next threshold.
Free Games
Four or more scatters trigger ten free games. Hyperboom begins the feature at a higher multiplier, and both the multiplier and meter progress remain active throughout the bonus rather than resetting after each spin.
This persistence creates the game's strongest potential. Early cascades can raise the multiplier, allowing later wins to benefit from the improved value. Multiple candy bombs may combine their effects on the same sequence.
A free-spin feature can still finish with a low return. Persistent multipliers require enough winning symbols to advance the meter and worthwhile combinations on which to apply the upgraded value.
Bonus Bet and Feature Buy
An optional side bet can increase the chance of triggering free games. Direct bonus access may also be available, commonly at a substantial multiple of the ordinary stake.
Lucksome has described versions in which a low-paying purchased feature can receive a retrigger under specified conditions. That should not be mistaken for a refund: the player keeps the original result and receives another feature attempt, but the combined outcome can still remain below the purchase price.
I would read the current rules carefully because feature costs and protections can differ by jurisdiction. Any additional wager should be included in the total session budget.
Is This a Real Bonanza Series?
Lucksome has a stronger claim than most small providers. Bon Bomb Bonanza develops an existing Bon Bomb game family and introduces Hyperboom as a named central mechanic. The studio has linked the theme, characters and mathematical progression rather than merely recycling the title.
The game also fits the wider modern Bonanza category through its 6×5 grid, scatter pays, cascades and persistent free-spin multiplier. It does not rely on Megaways and is not a direct copy of Sweet Bonanza 1000, even though the candy artwork creates an obvious visual comparison.
My view is that Hyperboom provides enough mechanical identity to overcome the familiarity of the sweet theme. The 20,000× maximum gives the feature substantial reach, while the meter makes the route towards multipliers visible.
The main concern is that visible progress can encourage chasing. A nearly full meter does not justify exceeding a preset limit. Treat the game as high-variance entertainment, verify the RTP in the deployed version and remember that Games Global distribution does not establish whether an operator may serve Australians.
