About Hammertime
Hammertime Games is a strategic studio brand operating under Stormcraft Studios and distributing its content through Games Global. It is not an unrelated start-up assembled around one candy game. The same wider development team has experience creating established Microgaming and Stormcraft titles.
Hammertime was created as a space for faster, data-led development and A/B testing. The studio uses performance information to refine themes, mechanics and follow-up releases while retaining Stormcraft's technical and mathematical experience.
Sugar Craze Bonanza served as an early showcase for the Hammertime brand in 2023. That gives the game a more important position than an ordinary mid-catalogue release.
Sugar Craze Bonanza
The game uses five reels, four rows and 1,024 ways. Matching symbols pay from left to right across adjacent reels. Winning symbols are removed through a rolling or cascading process, allowing replacements to create another combination.

Multiplier symbols can appear during rolling sequences with values as high as 20×. When several participate, their values are accumulated and applied to the total win from the sequence.
Multi-Chase
Multi-Chase connects the cascading wins with multiplier collection. Rather than treating each multiplier as an isolated prize, the game allows values to build across an active sequence.
This works well with 1,024 ways because several combinations can form across the same screen. A productive cascade may clear symbols, introduce new multipliers and create another win before the sequence ends.
I like the mechanic, although it creates the familiar frustration of multiplier symbols arriving without a useful combination. A visible 20× value has no independent worth unless the required win conditions are satisfied.
SugarStorm
SugarStorm can activate randomly in the base game and generate wild-reel spins. In its strongest form, all five reels can become wild, providing a route to the 10,000× maximum.
The feature is visually dramatic because the bright candy setting changes into a storm before the reels are transformed. It can also create a powerful near-miss effect when only some reels become wild.

Free Spins
The bonus begins with a wheel that can award different combinations of free spins, starting multipliers and SugarStorm tokens. Published configurations allow as many as 25 initial spins and starting multipliers reaching 12×.
The multiplier can improve during the feature. Collected SugarStorm tokens may also award up to three additional storm spins after the regular free games have ended.
This gives the bonus several layers, but each one serves the same purpose: developing the multiplier or increasing access to wild reels. The feature is busy without becoming completely disconnected from the base game.
RTP Versions
Sugar Craze Bonanza is supplied in multiple mathematical configurations. The top version returns 96.10%, while reported alternatives include 94.01%, 92.01% and 86.71%.
An 86.71% configuration is extremely poor by online slot standards. I would not play that version. The artwork and title can remain identical, so the RTP must be checked inside the game's information panel.
The Slots Bonanza listing uses 96.10%, which should be retained only if that is the build available through the linked demo or casinos. It should not be presented as universal.
Original Design or Sweet Bonanza Hype?
The candy theme and Bonanza title invite comparison with Pragmatic Play, but Hammertime did not copy the exact Sweet Bonanza structure. Sugar Craze uses 1,024 left-to-right ways rather than Pay Anywhere groups, and its central features are rolling multipliers, wild reels and a configurable bonus wheel.
The game also draws on ideas used in earlier Stormcraft designs. That is not inherently a problem: Hammertime was created by the same wider development organisation. I would describe Sugar Craze as an internal evolution wrapped in a commercially familiar theme.
The result has more identity than its artwork initially suggests. SugarStorm is the strongest differentiator, while Multi-Chase gives cascades a reason to continue beyond another ordinary line win.
My main warning concerns configuration. At 96.10%, the game offers reasonable theoretical value for a high-volatility release. At 86.71%, it becomes a completely different proposition. Verify the live RTP, keep bonus purchases within a fixed budget and do not chase SugarStorm because several spins have passed without it.
