About Spearhead
Spearhead Studios is the real-money game development division of the EveryMatrix group. The studio was formed after EveryMatrix acquired and rebranded the team previously associated with GiG Games, with operations centred in Marbella, Spain. Spearhead develops HTML5 slots, table games, video bingo and locally targeted casino content using the group's RGS Matrix technology.
The relationship gives Spearhead access to EveryMatrix distribution while leaving the studio responsible for its own game design. Its catalogue includes original releases as well as remastered versions of earlier titles. The provider's “local games for local markets” approach is visible in regional themes and games built for particular operator audiences.
Spearhead is not a major Bonanza studio. Fruit Hot Bonanza is its relevant release, and it is mechanically much simpler than the title might suggest.

The game is set below the Earth's surface among lava, diamonds and precious stones. Despite the name, it is not primarily a fruit slot. The “hot” element comes from the volcanic setting, while the reels use gemstones and familiar casino imagery.
Expanding Wilds
Wild symbols can appear on reels two, three and four. When a wild contributes to a possible winning combination, it expands to cover the entire reel and substitutes for ordinary paying symbols.
As many as three expanding wilds can land on one spin. Because the game contains only five paylines, a full wild reel can participate in several combinations at once without making the result difficult to read.

Two Scatter Symbols
The Dollar scatter can appear on any reel and pays when three, four or five symbols land anywhere. A separate Star scatter appears only on reels one, three and five and pays when all three required symbols land.

The use of two scatters creates more activity without adding a complicated bonus round. Both symbols can pay independently of the five standard lines, which is useful in such a restricted layout.
Ladder Gamble and Double Up
After an eligible win, the player may be offered a Ladder Gamble or Double Up option. These features risk an existing payout for the chance to increase it. The starting position on the ladder can depend on the amount being gambled.
This design comes from traditional European slot machines. It gives the player a decision, but it does not turn Fruit Hot Bonanza into a skill game. Risking a completed win increases variance and can reduce the payout to zero.
