About Aruze Gaming
Aruze has roots stretching back to the Japanese Universal business established in 1969 and became known internationally for casino cabinets, video slots and electronic table games. Its recent corporate history needs careful wording. Aruze Gaming America entered Chapter 11 proceedings in 2023, after which Play Synergy acquired its electronic gaming machine, online and overseas assets. Play Synergy subsequently adopted the Aruze Gaming Global name.
The brand and slot operation therefore did not simply disappear in 2023. Aruze Gaming Global continues to maintain and market inherited products, including the Bonanza Town family.
A genuine two-character series
Bonanza Town: Sheriff Sam and Bonanza Town: Sheriff Sherry are companion games rather than unrelated releases sharing a keyword. Both use a Wild West setting, Wanted scatters and three possible bonus features. The principal change is the sheriff character and presentation, while the mathematical framework remains closely aligned.
| Game | Published RTP | Listed maximum | Shared identity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bonanza Town: Sheriff Sam | 96.28% | 1,000x | Three-feature Wild West bonus system |
| Bonanza Town: Sheriff Sherry | 96.28% | 1,000x | Closely related companion edition |
The three Bonanza Town features
Three or more Wanted symbols trigger one of three bonus modes. Wild West Money uses a special reel containing wilds and credit values during each free game. This keeps the display focused on one enhanced reel at a time rather than covering the entire screen with collectors.
Big Money Lasso selects multiple reels containing credit, bonus and jackpot prizes. The sheriff captures the displayed values, giving the feature a collection-game feel that fits the theme instead of functioning as a generic hold-and-spin round.
Bang! Bang! Wheel uses a wheel populated with credit and jackpot possibilities. Before a spin, an ordinary credit prize may be upgraded to a jackpot. Appearing wilds can also increase bonus or jackpot values, so the feature develops rather than delivering one completely static wheel result.
I find this three-feature structure stronger than the maximum-win figure suggests. A 1,000x ceiling is modest by online standards, but the game offers several visually distinct events and reflects Aruze's experience with physical casino cabinets, where clear anticipation and communal visibility are important.
Bonanza is more than marketing here
Bonanza Town is one of the clearest genuine series in this group of providers. The location, characters, symbols and three bonus modes create a recognisable shared product. Sheriff Sam and Sheriff Sherry are nevertheless extremely close relatives, so players should choose between them by theme rather than expect substantially different mathematics.
Some online versions list 30 paylines, while cabinet and regional configurations can differ. The 96.28% RTP and 1,000x maximum displayed here should therefore be checked against the help file of the exact online build.
Aruze's history in Australian land-based gaming does not establish that its online slots can lawfully be offered to residents. Cabinet approval, B2B supply and online casino operation are separate regulatory matters. Australian players should verify the operator rather than relying on the familiarity of the Aruze name.
